The Görlitzer Park is the biggest park in the borough of Kreuzberg. The Görli as it is called from the citizens of Berlin was created on a former railway compound. Now, it is one of the most visited parks in Berlin and a place where families with Turkish origins, punks, stu-dents as well as black musicians gather and create the setting for a multicultural get to-gether. In 2003, the Görlitzer Park achieved nationwide recognition when P.R. Kantante, a musician from Berlin, released his summer hit “Görli Görli”
In addition to the football pitches and play grounds, the Görlitzer Park has a lot more to of-fer e.g. the public swimming bath Spreewaldbad with its plunge and wave pools in the west, the children’s farm in the north and the café Edelweis in the east. Also, the Wiener Straße and the Görlitzer Straße located right around the park, offer rumerous attractive stores, cafés, bars and restaurants which invite you on a shopping tour. Come and dis-cover the Görlitzer Park virtually on 360°Berlin.
